I have been trying not to reblog things and only post my original art. however, it is so rare that a contemporary artists work really moves me, and i absolutely loved these paintings. they seem to exhibit qualities similar to Gustav Kimt and Tamara Lempicka’s work, both of whom founded their careers on exalting the female form in their art.

I am doing a mural painting demonstration for the Orange County Fine Arts Association this thursday, September 27th and you are all invited!!!!

We will be raffling off one my original oil paintings with the proceeds going towards scholarships for future art students! This is a great organization and the demonstration will be informative and fun! Hope to see you there!

Step 1: Transfer the drawing

Step 2: Complete the under painting washes

STEP 3: START ADDING THE DARKEST DARKS <this is where i’m at right now

Step 4: Work from dark to medium to light

Step 5: Finish by adding the lightest lights and whitest whites

Step 6: Sign it!!!!
